What a Crazy Week

It's amazing to think that just over 8 months ago you came into our lives and stole our hearts. You continue to grow as change every day. One of the favourite things your like to do, besides looking out the windows in the front living room and cruising along the table, is exercising you legs by holding onto the table or the bars of the gates and doing squats. Every time I try to take a video, you get distracted by the light and stop. That said, I just got one yesterday with Nonno laughing at you because as you were doing your squats, you kept biting the rubber edging on the table out there to protect you bonking your head. (Have we will mentioned how much you love putting EVERYTHING in your mouth? You have reduced some of your books to pulp.)

All this said, we had a scary week and a bit. You ended up with a rash, stemming first from hives and ending with swollen eye lids causing you to be unable to open your eyes. We went to multiple doctors, and to emerg, and they are not 100% sure what caused it. It might have been a reaction to the penicillin you had been on for the virus you had that caused you to have a fever mid-January, although you had been off it for a week before we saw any marks on your body. Or, it could have been the apricot and millet baby food we gave you, or it could have been the cats you had been around at Aunt Teresa's. Either way, it was a scary week, and we are still keeping an eye out for hives. That said, throughout the whole ordeal, you were still your amazing and playful self (even if you did get your first bump on the noggen ).

Ooh, did I also mention that Daddy went away for work and Nanny stayed with us? The day he left, you kept saying Dada... Though never for Daddy during his video calls. Still, if was amazing to see Daddy's happiness when he heard you say it this morning shortly after you woke up.
