Our Big Girl

You are doing so well. You are basically potty trained during the day and nap times... We will work on the night time, but you are starting to wake up after a while night of sleep with a dry diaper! Yay you! (I think it helps that you like being cheered when you have accomplished it -"big pee", and because Nonno gives you money when you poop in the potty.) My concern is that you enjoy having an audience, but I'm sure it will change over time.

That said, we are having some issues with your toddler bed. You are having a hard time falling asleep on your own or staying in the bed over night. You will often wake up and come to Mommy and Daddy's room to be bright back down again - with Mommy in the floor beside your bed. Hopefully you will get past that soon.

You love your little brother and check on him regularly. You also make sure to give your brother a kiss before bed.

You love playing outside in the backyard, especially in the pool. Nonno showed you how to turn on and off the hose and you've begun to use it to wet people.

This past Friday Nanny, Nonno, Alan and Mommy went to the beach in Pickering then followed up with McDonald's for lunch. You had a great day!

Mommy also just got a new van and you love watching the doors open and close on their own (remotely), often saying, "cool". We will see how long it will take for the novelty to wear off.

Today, after coming home from swimming and lunch, you decided to wanted to go into the backyard and play with your pool. To do this, your stripped off your clothes on your own... Even though Mommy said you were going for a nap after feeding your brother. You then decided to walk around and play naked until Mommy could help you put on your clothes. (What's interesting about this is you have a hard time pulling down your pants to pee... But had no problem stripping down). It was hard for Mom to reprimand you and keep a straight face.

Tonight, you decided that you were going to dress yourself and were quite upset that Mom and Dad wanted to come and help. I then walked in to find you sitting in your rocking chair and you informed me, "Mommy I reading".

So many changes, I see why people say it happens so fast. We love you little monkey!
