You Continue to Amaze Us

This past Sunday, we had a busy day ahead of us... And you came through with flying colours.

Our day began with the daylight savings time (when we roll back the clocks an hour). Your Dad and I have been prepping you for the change for a few days now by slowly pushing your bedtime back. You seem to be handling it well. Then, while I was taking a shower to make our way to Dad's church, you apparently turned yourself from back to front (something I've been working on with you for quite some time). You also apparently crawled a bit too. (I have a video of you rolling over from Monday and saw it happen both ways. You roll like a pro! Watching you, it's like you've been rolling all this time.)

Next, when we got to church as sides-persons, you were the hit of the church as many wished to see how much you've grown. You helped us welcome people, bring up the offering, and get parishioners to go up for Communion. After the service, you tolerated Mom and Dad counting the money, even though we had to do two weeks in a row. (You needed a walk to nap in between, but you did just that.)

Next, we went to visit Aunt Patty and Uncle Mike. When we arrived, we found out that most of their kids and grandchildren were either there or coming too. (Big Aurora even got to hold you - she thinks named you after her.) That was, at its peak, 11 people and two little dogs in the living room/kitchen of a two bedroom condo.

From there, we then drove to birthday party for Daddy's godson, Griffin. You were also when we got there, woke up and were so welcoming and happy for a half-hour. It wasn't surprising, though, we you began to get grumpy after that. You had a long day!

We drove home singing to you the whole way home to keep you calm... But it was worth the amazing day you had. You are an amazing girl!
